European Languages Day!

20 years celebrating linguistic and cultural diversity around Europe in the European Council!

Last 26th September all the Europeans celebrated the European Laguages Day!

It is celebrated around Europe and also… at our school.

Throughout Europe, 800 million Europeans are represented in the Council of Europe’s 47 member states and all are encouraged to discover more languages at any age, as part of or alongside their studies. This stems from the Council of Europe’s conviction that linguistic diversity is a tool for achieving greater intercultural understanding and a key element in the rich cultural heritage of our continent. Therefore, the Council of Europe, in Strasbourg, promotes multilingualism in the whole of Europe.

The Salesianas BEDA Team prepared a kahoot to play with the students in our English clases for them to know the linguistic and cultural wealth all around Europe.

We had fun trying to guess the answers to many questions about languages and culture.

We linked that Kahoot game with another important celebration at Salesianas this year: the 150th Anniversary of the Salesianas around the World!!

These celebrations will take place all school year long.

Here you have some photos of the students of Primary, Secondary School and A-Levels enjoying the game with their English teachers and classmates!
